About Abraham: Abraham settled down in Canaan with his wife.  He was already 75, and was childless.  While he was in Canaan, God came down and spoke to him.  His whole life he could not bear children, but God told him that he would have children and his "seed" would inherit the land and make many nations.  Abraham was 100 when he had Isaac.
