Reflection on Stages of Children Language Development - March 22, 2022

1. What are the new knowledge you form from working on the infographic?
-. Children have their own sets of rules when they're talking to reach their brain capacity of communication on their age. They can't just talk like adults who already has a wide vocabulary mental lexicon. Children will babble or gurgle when they're conversing with other children because it's easier for them to understand on their level of understanding in communication.

2. What are two interesting facts of Language Development of Stages of Children you can identify from your project?
-. All children are unique on their own, sometimes they can develop language at an early age but some can be a bit too late. This has been proven to not be a major problem because each children have their own set of pacing on when they are able to develop their language skills. We cannot force them to learn according to how we want. It takes time.
-. Children's intelligence is not measured by how fast they can develop a language. There's always a stigma where parents often think that children who can develop language earlier are deemed to be smarter and can catch on or understand things faster than other children. But this was never the case. It was only a matter of the children's different pacing.

1. What are the parts that were wrong but you have correct them? explain
-. From our initial discussion, we thought that young children should be given less freedom to be silent so their language acquisition progress won't be hindered but after having another discussion again, we were supposed to give them the freedom to be silent because we can't possibly force the young children to speak if they're not able to do so.

2. What are the new things you got from today's activity?
-. People tend to overlook grammatical errors as long as they could make sense of the meaning.
-. Usually, people who interact with language learners tend to adjust their speech pattern to help the learner understand what they are saying better.
