For your post: 1. Put your name in the title.
2. In the body, write your type of extremophile. 3. Where it lives. 4. Its adaptations 5. include a picture or video of an example.

Charged amino acids on their surface allow for the retention of water molecules. Accumulate solutes in their cells that balance osmotic stress.
4.

They are found in regions that are permanently cold, like the polar regions and deep sea.

Acidophiles or acidophilic organisms are those that thrive under highly acidic conditions usually at pH 2.0 or below. These organisms can be found in different branches of the tree of life, including Archaea, Bacteria, and Eukarya. Acidophiles are microorganisms that grow in highly acidic environments.Acidophiles can live in acidic environments all around the world, from underground mines to national parks! They have been found in some of the most corrosive placeson Earth.

The tinto river is an example of a place they live. Most acidophile organisms have evolved extremely efficient mechanisms to pump protons out of the intracellular space in order to keep the cytoplasm at or near neutral pH. Therefore, intracellular proteins do not need to develop acid stability through evolution.
