His political views included thoughts on
criminology. According to some research, Beccaria helped to shape rights listed in the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. He thought strongly against cruel and unusual punishments along with giving people a speedy trial. Economics was another topic Beccaria was interested in. He created an ''economic analysis'' that talked about the division of labor. He wanted economic reform and put his focus into issues on public education and labor relations. People's rights and freedoms were things Beccaria spent much of his life talking about as well. He knew people had free will that allows them to make their own choices. Lastly, he believed people have a rational manner that they use to help them achieve happiness. Beccaria's life work was important and impacts us today.
