What if Mansa Musa had Never Risen to Power?

If Mansa Musa had never risen to power or never helped his empire, many important things would be missing in history. Since he controlled important trade routes and shared gold and other valuable goods, countries that traded with Mali may have suffered or even fallen apart. Without his support, the spread of education would have been slower, and subjects like algebra might not have reached other places as early. The exchange of knowledge between scholars from different regions would not have happened as widely. Also, the famous buildings and mosques built with the help of skilled architects would not have been made. These structures helped shape the culture and identity of Mali. Without Mansa Musa, the Mali Empire would not have been as powerful or remembered as it is today.
