YouTube has a lot of how to videos of artists showing you how to use slabs to build ceramics. Open YouTube and search for a Slab Clay Building video to share with the class by posting it here. At the very end of class we will watch a couple.

You can make just about anything out of clay. There are tons of examples of different useful items, decorative pieces, and creative pieces on the Internet. Using Bing or Google, type in a specific item to see if you can find one made out of clay. Examples: basketball ceramics, superhero ceramics, spongebob ceramics, etc.

I think this piece of artwork was made using a piece of clay and some carving tools. Also the person that made this had to now what they were doing, plus they had to have a lot of patience. Lastly they had to be willing to spend time on it and they had to concentrate. My favorite part of this piece is the little chimney and the little tree.

I think that they used a certain kind of clay and covered their hand with it until it hardens then take it off

How I think this picture was made is someone made a mold of their hand and then they took it out, then they painted it then they made it look like it had fingernais and just painted it to look like a tree
