  I think Jonny has a big impact on the story because thought the story we hear about all of his struggles at home. he saves pony-boys life by killing bob before pony-boy gets drowned. If you have overprotective parents you may turn out to be a very cautious person. Or even the exact opposite if you take it the wrong way. If you have toxic or abusive (verbally, physically or both) parents you may be extremely careful with the people you choose to interact with.
