The Springfield Riot was the final turning point to why it was officially formed, many white liberals came together to seek racial justice. NAACP's main focus was to guarantee rights for all people including the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. After the great depression NAACP focused on the economic justice for African Americans.

NAACP's Hustle Campaign (today)is running to encourage colored citizens to vote. The Hustle is a texting campaign that will let you communicate with real people that will explain the importance of voting through the texting. They are expected to recruit 2,000 volunteers.
NAACP's "Get out and Vote" campaign is also a way to encourage colored people to not be afraid to vote because every vote does truly matter and people don't understand that. As a result of the campaign, in the 2000 presidential election 1 Million more African Americans voted than in the 1996 election.
