Thoroughly, learnings are nonsense if you don't know the essence of this in actual field. Convert them into applications. This would definitely test if you have learned or not. Knowledge are just in mind but true learnings are at the works.

This E-portfolio would be a glimpse of my learnings and works in Assessment in Teaching II under Mrs. Monetta Valencia. The knowledge I have gained in this subjects entails in every edge of this Padlet. However, just like what I have learned is that knowledge could be successful and effective if I am able to do apply them in authentic activities. I am looking forward to use the things I have learned in the near future as an educator. This course helps me a lot to understand the learning and teaching aspects in education. It seems to be easy taking one look in this course but there's a lot of things that we should consider. This subject would be a great foundation to be an effective and efficient educator that would probably help our society.

What I have l realized in this module is the essence of the learning outcomes of the student that will be given among the student which is expected to be attained by them through the said curriculum . Nevertheless, it is expecting to meet the standard learning outcomes in terms of its characteristics which is going to know at first to be able to come up building the objectives of the lesson. This would be a great help in attaining the SLO realistic and relevantly to the said curriculum. This is really important so that the students meet the standard expectation of the course and be the basis of outcome assessment's process. More over, the expected SLO should be seen in the skills, competencies, and values after the course. This things could be measure by the different ways in order to evaluate them and to see whether they passed the basis or not. The purpose of this are to align the student to the course, be aware of the things that they need to be achieve, and to know if their are things that needs to be redesign, curriculum development, and for assessment.

What I have learned in this module is the role of authentic assessment in a curriculum. We should be aware of what is this, its different characteristics and principles that we should look at. Aside from that it also gives emphasize to the evaluation, testing and marks for us as future educator to enables us to determine the learnings of our students thorough out the course. This would help us to determine the capabilities and learnings that our student. This could be observe in different ways in making the activities, examining results and testing their skills and knowledge. The purpose of this is to prepare student to apply what they have learned in real life activities. This is for teachers to know the learnings of their students. Their are characteristic that been discussed in this module that we should take a look at to know the quality of the curriculum. Their are criteria that the students must be aware of what are they. By this we will know the strengths and weaknesses of the students but would not rank them based on the level of their performance. It is more about the progress that they attained to meet the learning outcome.

This module presents the different tools to be used in measuring students' learning competencies/ abilities. It focuses on the three main aspects that need to be considered. They are the observations, performance sample, and actual performance. These are very crucial to look at because as a future teacher you will know the learning process of the students, how did they understand the lesson well and to measure the acquired knowledge which they can apply in them in real life situations. It also enables the teacher to evaluate the information that would lead to developing students' ability to perform the skills in their lives.

As a future educator, analyzing the students' learning process is very important to know if they are able to catch up the discussion well, if they are really applying the skills in their own experiences. It also emphasizes that they don’t need to memorize everything in the lesson, instead they can use their higher order thinking skills and be creative as much as possible to show what they have learned.

What I have learned in this module is the importance of PROCESS evaluation in measuring students' learning competencies. This module highlights assessment in students' learning performance. It gives importance to the students' competencies which are the most essential things to be considered in Process- Oriented Performance . It focused on the process of learning rather than the outcome of the discussion. In this, the teachers are assessing how the students conduct the activities. What strategies or methods they follow in the simulation of the activities. Teachers must monitor the students on what abilities and skills they perform in achieving the desired outcomes. Furthermore, as a future educator assessing the learning process of the students are very important to categorize the needs to improve in the students skills. As well as the strengths of each of them that will be needed in the creation of designed tasks. With this, it will lead to achieve the intended outcomes through the use of the process-oriented performance based assessment. Teachers must measure how the students perform the task because it will be a great proof that the students are applying the skills and to ensure that the students themselves are the one who conducted the activities.

This module talks about the role of teachers towards the development of students' learning competencies. As a future teacher, it is a challenge to us to design instructions which are task- oriented. The learnings of the students should be applicable in students' lives through using the skills and knowledge in complying tasks. They should use them relevantly in their own experiences. The emphasis of this is to assess student performance through the product itself. This is the output of the students itself. Learning this module will give me an opportunity to think and prepare ourselves about evaluating students' knowledge and their ways in completing an activity. It is important to assess and evaluate students for us to enhance our instructions to improve the outcome/product of our students. There are certain things that we can use to assess students' performance based on the product using rubrics, design a task to get appropriate activities in the lesson or even a checklist could do.

AFFECTIVE DOMAIN

This module highlights again the importance of Taxonomy which tackles about the affective Domain, Affective Learning Competencies and Development of Assessment Tools. We have realized that the affective domain is the emphasis of feeling, emotion, degree of acceptance or rejection. It has been highlighted in this module the importance of assessing the affective domain in students learning capabilities. We have talked about Kratwohl’s taxonomy which focuses on the receiving, responding, valuing and organization. It is crucial to consider in order to describe an individual's process and to internalize learning objects on an affective or emotional level. I have realized that even in the teaching- learning process affective domain has been tagged as the least important aspect but on the other hand, it is really important to assess how the students are learning in the class. Moreover in this aspect we are also considering the learning competencies of Cognition which is the beliefs, theories, expectancies, cause-and-effect beliefs, and perceptions relative to the focal Object. Secondly, the Affect it refers to our feeling with respect to the focal object such as fear, liking, or anger. Thirdly, Behavioral Intentions these are our goals, aspirations, and our expected responses to the attitude object. Lastly, Evaluation is often considered the central component of attitudes. This module also talks about the development assessment tools that we can use in assessing affective domains. It used to measure the self- efficacy, motivation, interest and attitudes that the student develops.

This chapter presents the importance of Portfolio Assessment Methods. The students are expected to comply with this kind of task to determine the student progress report. Portfolio is the collection of students' works, efforts, progress and achievement in one specific subject. Making this requires effort, plans and knowledge. Creating one would distinguish individuals' progress in terms of their strengths and weaknesses in the said area. It is also an assessment of how teachers teach in the class. It also has clear goals. Students select and include something that would support that they were able to achieve their goals. It includes the learner's abilities and growth. A tool for assessment of skills which are not normally tested in the old way of testing as well as the social skills. It also develops students’ own learning on their own progress and quality of work in knowing the said goals and student interaction. And of course an opportunity in student-teacher dialogue. It also shows the elements of a portfolio to have, to indicate the most important part of their learnings. Moreover, portfolios have different types that would probably meet different purposes depending on teachers and students. There are four of them which are the Process Portfolio that indicates the learning process. Showcase Portfolio of students’ best output and products. Documentation Portfolio that demonstrates growth and improvement. As a future teacher, I must be knowledgeable as well in terms of evaluating my students' output. In this module it also tackles the criteria that we can use in evaluating and assessing my student portfolios. It must be graded based on the specified goals.

This module presents the role of grading and reporting systems in evaluating students' learning process. It is one of the crucial parts of being a teacher. As a future teacher we should consider a lot of areas in grading the student. This chapter enlightens us as to the things that we should look at to conduct this task. It tends to make things easier in terms of the complexities in describing the types of grading and reporting. I was able to learn that this system is very important to be done correctly to ensure effectiveness. The use of this system is essential in terms of enhancing students' learning. With this guiding students to know their strengths and weaknesses. This can be done through giving feedback and periodical tests. Secondly this helps to monitor the students by their guardians or parents. This is good communication with the parents to promote better learning and relationships. They will know whether the students were able to meet the objectives or not. Thirdly, this is for administrative and guidance uses. This helps for a promotion, graduation, honors, athletic eligibility. It also reports the achievement to other schools or to employers, and provides realistic education, or personal counseling. The purpose of this system helps as a future teachers to ensure quality education because at some point students it helps in promoting and learning development. It also discusses the different grading systems which are the Traditional letter-grade system, Pass fail, Checklists of objectives, Letters to parents/guardians, Portfolios and Parent-teacher conferences. Moreover it also tackles the guided functions in developing a Grading and Reporting System. It teaches us how to assign letter grades and computing grades. Grades should also reflect relative performance which is called Norm or Criterion- Referenced Grading. Proper ways of distributions of grades and reports should also follow correct procedures. Lastly, conducting parent- teacher conferences is a must to ensure productive education.

This chapter contains the appropriate method for collecting data, correct analyses and present the results of statistical analysis. This knowledge would be beneficial to me as a future educator to be equipped with the knowledge in collecting and analyzing data for the students' learning outcomes. Using statistics in dealing computation, collection and interpretation of students' learning outcome is very impompart in a teacher's role to ensure measurable outcome of the students. I have learned about the usage of descriptive statistics in summarizing data with the use of numbers or graphs. In terms of making representational patterns in collecting data and making conclusions and predictions about a certain population we can use Inferential statistics. There are also a series of methods in statistics. To investigate causes and make conclusions on the effect would change the variables in studying. Providing measurements and comparisons are created to know the differences in learning achievement. This module also talks about the conceptualization wherein this process expresses a specific idea for the purpose of precise and clear intended measurement. Lastly, the use of index or scale may help us to explain and understand the concepts of range in conceptual; variations. This lesson allows us as a future teachers to evaluate and understand the students' performance using descriptive analysis. It also indicates trends in their performance and allows educators to compare strategies and methods in teaching.
