After learning specific details of their colors, students set out to write their first essay of the year answering the prompt, "Choose three of your True Color characteristics and explain how these are the BEST representations of your personality." We began with a graphic organizer to help organize our thoughts. We wrote three thesis statements and participated in a round robin thesis statement activity. Tablemates read each others' thesis statements and rated each one 1-3. After choosing the best thesis statement, students began crafting the body paragraphs.
