Zayuri is a Japanese name. It means small lily. I think my name fits me because my parents gave it to me for a reason, also because I can't think of myself with another name. I've already gotten used to mine. I'd say I like my name. (lily's happen to be my favorite flower.)

Enchiladas rojas

Enchiladas are a well known Mexican food. They are also one of my favorites when it comes to Mexican food. I remember eating them for the first time when we went to some restaurant when my sister graduated and fell in love with them ever since.

Pozole rojo

To me pozole is one of the yummiest foods when it comes from Mexican dishes. I love eating the little 'Granos' so much so that my family already knows that when it comes to serving me a bowl they separate all the little granos just for me. It's also one of my grandpa's favorite to. We all love pozole.. if you don't you're lying. stop lying.

Family history

While I am from the U.S Both my parents are from Sonora while my grandma's side is from Baja California and my grandpa's side is from Jalisco. My siblings father is from El Salvador and from there I don't know much. I also know that some family members from my grandma are from some part of Korea. I only know that because my family members told me I look Asian. And I surprisingly still get that now, while I don't see it they think I do. I might not look like it now.. or I don't know... but when I see pictures of myself as a kid I sure look ... like one..?

Clothing

Although no one in family seems to wear anything that is related to anything that is from Mexico I'm sure there are many people out there that stick to traditional clothing. For example maybe shoes, back in the 2000's those pointy boots were spotted at every party you went to. Or like nowadays that those bell jeans and boots are trending. Also using mariachi styled dresses. Although none of this peaks my interest that doesn't mean it couldn't peak yours or others.

Hero

For my hero I'd have to choose my sister or my grandpa or my brother. Those 3 were always there for when I had trouble. They are always so understanding and always were there to receive me with there arms open wide. In tough times I could always rely on them. Although my grandpa has passed I cant help but be eternally grateful for the amazing grandpa he was. He would always be devastated when I'd have to go but was always there to spoil me haha. Same with my sister and brother. Whenever I really needed something they were there. In one of my toughest times my brother called up to check up on me and told he knew how it felt. We talked over he phone for a while and he told me how soon everything will be just fine. And my sister, For my sister she the greatest of them all. She was always there not just for me but for everyone else. I hope one day she could just sit back and relax because she deserves it she went through so much and still hasn't broken apart. I hope to be like her and my brother one day. Them 3 will always and forever have a special place in my heart.

Im sure you'd heard of La Llorona. So many books and stories and movies based of her with so many different things going on. Some people have even said to encounter her themselves and other being completely and utterly mortified of her. She had supposedly drowned her children and is heard at the dead of night is heard screaming and wailing.

Religion/Beliefs/Values

Mexico is mostly made up of roman beliefs. Of course that isn't everyone. Everyone has different beliefs and are a part of different religions. Unfortunately some people are a part of heavy religion have to go along with it until either there parents budge and leave them alone or until they are older and can leave it on there own.

It keeps me focused on my goal of working hard these years to end up in a good place where I'll have my fair amount of money and be able to provide for my family since they were always there to provide for me. Something about finally doing that makes me feel so excited and cant wait to finally pursue it. So whenever I feel unmotivated and lazy I give this song a quick listen and focus to work harder on what I can.

Language

Mexican language is different believe it or not. Although it may be common sense for this class it could be a completely different case for others. Yes, the whole region of Mexico speaks Spanish, But the only difference is the accents and words, For example listening to Spanish music you'd think is the same but its like English music to. Many different genres that show different accents like difference between Spanish rock and some corridos and cumbia. All these different words and accents you here are all combines into what we know as spanish.
