In Montgomery County in Maryland, the school system has decided to drop the names of Christian & Jewish holidays off the calendar after a complaint from some in the Muslim community. The complaint came about after complaints that the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur was being recognized on the calendar, but the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, which falls on the same day, was not.
