1. I want to borrow the idea of having students review their previous day's work by talking with their groups. I also will borrow the graphic organizer that I saw.
2. Students were put into intentional groups, students had partners to engage with that minimized unnecessary socializing, and papers and other student necessities were available to them to get without having to interrupt instruction.
3. Technology was used to aid visual learned by having the graphic organizer on the board, and rigorous was supported through this because each student knew they could be called on to go write on the projected graphic organizer so they knew their work had to be completed.

1. I will definitely be borrowing the grade distribution chart for each period and the Wall of Fame. Visual representations of where students stand generally will be beneficial to both me and my students.
2. Love the Quizlet Live. I've used Quizlet before and love the tool, but I like the immediate competitiveness of the Live option.
3. The content for both classes was complex and engaging. For Futrell, the appeal of extra credit combined with the competition and grouping made the class complex along with rigorous. For Shafer, the fact that he led his entire Spanish 1 class in Spanish really leveled-up his rigor and complexity. The technology in his classroom being BYOD engaged the students with technology, competition, and collaboration.

In Spanish class, students were reviewing vocabulary through the use of an online game that seemed rigorous. Technology was 100% involved in Spanish class through the use of Quizlet

1. I love the idea of using Google Forms for review or even for quizzes.
2. Small group "community" learning (science class) and individualized instruction (math class) help keep students engaged and helps the teacher make sure everyone is understanding and students' needs are being met. Using technology also helps to keep students on task and places learning at their fingertips.
3. Vocabulary was rigorous in science and was actually both review and new material. The teacher also gave notice of what topics would be studied more in depth in the next few days. In science, students completed the review using Google forms and in the math class the students were using their own technology to pull up Pascal's triangle or class chromebooks.
