         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.<mark> Media has a huge role in determining how we understand </mark>race and ethnicity as part of our identity, culture, history, and everyday lives<br>2. Many of the Western or American ideas about race and ethnicity come from moments in history, such as colonization or immigration.<br>3. &nbsp; We associate whiteness with civilization, progress, intellect and leadership. Any other race or ethnicity is seen of a lesser value because they do not hold these standards.<br>4. Race and ethnicity can play subtle roles in people's lives, not just prominent roles.<br>5. Even with hugely successful minority actors and performers, there is a deficit in the media when it comes to major roles.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) Even though racial discrimination isn't as out there as much anymore, prejudices totally still exist. They are just more hidden now.<br><br>2) The bias may be more subtle today, but the bias exist in more in something that we tend to watch alot and overlook: <mark>The Media</mark><br><br>3) There are very successful people from minority groups that are famous now such as Will Smith and Sofia Veraga. Even though there are minority groups that have become successful in the media, white groups are still in the lights more.<br><br>4) If we are to continue to keep having diversity in the media that does not portray stereotypes, I feel like it would break down walls if stereotypes fast. <br><br>5) <mark>Next time you are on the media, it's important to ask yourself critical questions </mark>about how races are portrayed.</div>]]></description>
