Bradbury has predicted our future with the "seashells" (airpods) and our obsession with any technology. An example is Mildred with her "family". She doesn't even care that Montag is around and wants to spend time and read books with her. Another example is the Mechanical Hound. In Bradbury's future, regular blood hounds aren't strong enough or good enough to catch bad people, so, in this dystopia, robot dogs were created to hunt and kill people who threaten their city. The last example is how fast cars can drive. Montag ran across an interstate with cars going over 200 mph. Beatty tries to force Montag to be satisfied with what's legal (not books) by sending the hound to his house, giving him lectures on why books are bad, and ultimately, going to Montag's house and making him burn it. He tries to pull Montag away from books, first with a semi-kind discussion, then with a serious warning, then Beatty actually forcing him to destroy his own home. I chose this theme because this is basically what the entire book is about. The society that Montag lives in is all about the rules. The people never try to think for themselves. They only believe what the government tells them. They follow the rules of not reading books, the firemen burn down houses instead of help put out the fires. Montag on the other hand is all about breaking the rules. Three examples from the book would be:
1) Montag has been hiding books in his ventilator.

For Millie especially she barely talks to the outside world and just sits all day talking to the parlor. Due to this new technology Mrs. Bowels husband died because of suicide and her children hate her. By just hearing a simple poem this destroys Mrs. Phelps because she doesn't understand and is scared.
