In February of 2021, The Children’s Mercy Research Institute Tower was declared open. So far Children’s Mercy has enrolled over 10,000 researchers, and diagnosed more than 1,000 rare diseases. Children’s Mercy is even part of the world’s leaders in therapeutics, genomics, ethics, and precision. Children’s Mercy is 1 of the 30 hospitals in the nation to be verified as a level 1 child’s surgery center. Children’s Mercy has 8,821 staff members, 778 pediatric specialists, and 869 volunteers. Children's Mercy is ranked number 1 in Missouri, with over 390 beds inside. Over 600 hundred medical students from all around the world come to visit Children’s Mercy.

Our action plan is to conduct a lemonade stand at Loose Park from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, 2024. At our lemonade stand, Liv and I will sell cookies, a variety of chips, regular lemonade, and also pink lemonade. With the money Liv and I hope to make at our lemonade sale, we are going to purchase items off the Children’s Mercy wishlist. Once we have bought everything, we will fill little backpacks with the items for all of the little kids. We will then deliver the Happy Kits to as many children as we can.
