         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>NCSLMA, District PD for SLMCs, NCCAT, Online web tool courses (like Canva), ALA eLearning (webinars &amp; virtual events too), Library Journal online PD. </p></li><li><p>School Librarians need to be flexible, in tune with the needs of the teachers and what PD they need, and have confidence to present in front of peers.</p></li><li><p>Pre-recorded (brief) PD lessons or infographics, offering to attend PLCs and explain tools or tech, and listen to what they need, and offer to be available (if not on a fixed schedule) during planning (or drop-ins) or after school. </p></li><li><p>Survey/questionnaire, attend PLCs (if possible), talk with teachers, and foster a good relationship, send out newsletters or emails advertising what you can offer.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>NC Ties has the most relevant up-to-date sessions. School-based PD isn't helpful. </p></li><li><p> Make relevant, try to include what they ask for. Try to be mindful of people's time.</p></li><li><p>In person during staff meetings, workdays, and asynchronous PD. Try to get people engaged on at-home workdays.</p></li><li><p>Use newsletters, use emails, put things out on the website, and speak during meetings. Try to make sure incentives are useful. </p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>County wide professional development for all media coordinators- you get relevant information and feedback from people actually in your county (rather than something larger like NCSLMA)</p><ol><li><p>Cumberland does this</p></li><li><p>CMS does a quarterly PD that is helpful</p></li><li><p>building in breakout rooms that are work sessions so to not just be tons of information sharing without any action</p></li></ol></li><li><p>MCs need to be tuned in to what is going on in the classrooms, constantly listening to them and checking in at PLCs. Understand where they need support and be empathetic to the challenges they are facing and how we can find unique solutions for those. We need to be the person who is "always reaching out" (staff forgets what you offer them because they have so much on their plate)</p></li><li><p>Recording PD to offer the gift of time to teachers so they can watch things on their own time if they prefer. Tacking on to staff meetings 10 quick minutes to account for different learning styles. 30 minute meeting, and give them a duty free lunch raffle (giving them their 30 minutes back). </p></li><li><p>Showing teachers why they need something and how a specific tool is going to help them and save them time. Understand their challenges and speak directly to those. Adding a social element and make things fun not long/boring. </p></li></ol>]]></description>
