For example polar bears are heavily affected by the raise in temperature that global warming causes. Polar bears rely on the ice to hunt their prey, (Stirling & Derocher 2695). Polar bears in this climate are forced to fast for 4 months when sea ice melts during summer. Global warming would prolong this fasting period and leave polar bears not able to reproduce fat and survive (Stirling & Derocher 2695). Other wildlife living in colder climates such as penguins, musk oxen, sea birds, snow leopards will experience the same issues that polar bears face due to them having to adapt to a whole new climate.

Climate change will affect respiratory health. Pollen season will occur earlier affecting plants and lengths of seasons. This will make plants with highly allergenic pollen to be more potent.(Perera 144). Meaning global warming can change the severity of health problems that already exists and that is already affected by climate factors. (Rossati 9) It also, creates new health risks in places that have not occurred previously. Rising temperature causes a loss of biodiversity, exploitation of environment, death, reduced water availability and release of toxic chemicals in the environment. 2.5 °C increase is estimated in global temperature producing biodiversity losses. (Rossati 9).
