Since ancient times, the Thracians in our lands have danced in a circle, holding hands, thus expressing respect for the Sun. It is assumed that this is where the uneven beats that distinguish us from the music and dances of other peoples come from.

According to the famous folklorist and choreographer Boris Tsonev, in this dance there are “tremblings, conflicts, rage, satisfaction, pride, reconciliation, love, hatred, timidity, and determination…”
