EDWIN ALEXANDER MARTINEZ Dear partnerHere is my audio recording link:http://vocaroo.com/i/s00yJS2729xF 1.What are your perceptions on the Use of Blogs for EFL Learning? This tool is very useful for learners because it gives them the opportunity to share information with a group that has access for comment and give different points of view about a topic.2. Which ones are the alternatives in ELT methodology? Those teachers who have professional experience in preparing and implementing them in the classroom confirm that the essence of WebQuests lies in the given task which requires a higher order of thinking. In other words, students are not expected to just receive information passively but rather to use it actively to achieve a certain purpose.3. What are the students’ perceptions of integrating Wiki technology and peer feedback into English writing courses? In recent years, peer feedback (sometimes referred to as “peer response”, “peer assessment”, or “peer editing”) has become an important pedagogical tool in English writing classrooms (for example, Hansen & Liu, 2005; Liu & Hansen, 2002). Peer feedback is supported by many theoretical frameworks, such as process writing (Hyland & Hyland, 2006), collaborative learning theory, Vygotsky’s concept of the Zone of Proximal Development (Hansen & Liu, 2005), and social scaffolding in collaborative dialogues (Donato, 2000; Swain, 2000). Thanks to its social implications, peer feedback allows students to interact with peers by providing comments on others’ writing, engendering a social space for communication and discussion.4. How can we integrate critical Approach to Second Language Learning? The promotion of critical thinking into the FLT classrooms is of high significance for several reasons. Firstly, if language learners can take charge of their own thinking, they can monitor and evaluate their own ways of learning more successfully. Second, critical thinking expands the learning experience of the learners and makes the language more meaningful for them. Thirdly, critical thinking has a high degree of correlation with the learners‘ achievements (Rafi, n.d.). Different studies have confirmed the role of critical thinking in improving ESL writing ability (Rafi, n.d.); language proficiency (Liaw, 2007); and oral communication ability (Kusaka & Robertson, n.d.).

What are your perceptions on the Use of Blogs for EFL Learning?

The use of the blog in the teaching of a foreign language can be a complementary tool for the class, very useful for both the student and the teacher, the latter can use this resource to share audiovisual material for their students, and in this same Receive comments or doubts, and in this way to maintain an active participation in its class

2. Which ones are the alternatives in ELT methodology?

The learning that can enrich the person is the one that establishes a relation between the new material to be learned and the previous knowledge of the student. When this condition is met, the student finds meaning in what he studies, understands and can then achieve meaningful learning. It must have, on the part of the object, a logical organization that makes it understandable and, on the student's part, elements and antecedents that allow him to learn it. In addition, the student must know how to apply what is learned when circumstances so require, that is, learning must be functional.

Meaningful learning is achieved through activities that the student can perform and that give him some satisfaction when he does them, but above all, that relate to what he learns and his own experience, so that they integrate learning experiences.

3. The typical wiki, although not an essential requirement, is open to the contributions and interventions of anyone who wants it,

These reasons lead us to think that the learning process would be easier, because receiving complementary contributions to your learning, helping the acquisition of vocabulary, and reading it, a fundamental part in the acquisition of a second language

4.

I share with you the answers to the questions in the following
link:

http://vocaroo.com/i/s0IEqeyseI3R

What are your perceptions on the Use of Blogs for EFL Learning?

My perception on the use of the blogs for English learning and according to the referred reading and the results obtained through several studies on this subject, I can deduce that blogs have a good potential to develop to the abilities of writing and reading. They are easy to use and its use has become tendency (Huang, 2007) for the students because a blog allows to interact and collaborate itself or among people with the same interests who’s their learning of the language has become more dynamic and interesting. Besides the participation in blogs can improve the language fluency, grammar, vocabulary, improvisation and its reading comprehension. Also, it is necessary to highlight that it is a tool that professors recommend and its use to reinforce and support the different topics worked in the classroom.

2. Which ones are the alternatives in ELT methodology?

One of the alternatives is the application of WebQuests, provided like a tool for teachers in the English language learning and students work on a research activity in which they engage look for specific information that find in the Internet. Although the paper of the student is not only passive, he must analyze, criticize, synthesize, compare, construct and solve problems. This interaction allows to develop students’ abilities in writing and reading. They will become familiar with the new language, handling the technological resources and promotes the collaborative work. Also,it motivates students for a meaningful learning of the English language.

3. What are the students’ perceptions of integrating Wiki technology and peer feedback into English writing courses?

A decade ago, the importance of incorporating the learning of the English language to the new technologies was very relevant. Since the students live in their computer; science world, presented a study that measured the students´ perceptions on the integration of the technology of wiki and most of them, considered positive the ability to apply it. Also, it serves like a natural platform for the development of the abilities of the writing in English promoted by the participation and the collaboration and allowing students to interact and to generate a social space for the communication and the debate. This Wiki technology has become a tool for the learning of languages. It has facilitated and improved the written language.

4. How can we integrate critical Approach to Second Language Learning?

The critical approach integrates with the teaching of the Second language because it allows for the construction of our ideas and thoughts in the second language, facilitating the development of the skills of writing, reading and grammar and vocabulary, encouraging to read more smoothly, create and interpret texts with meaning.

1. What are your perceptions on the Use of Blogs for EFL Learning?

The technologies support the learning of students and allow the diversification of the pedagogical pedacogic strategies to use with their students. The findings suggest that the use of technology in the teaching and learning process of the foreign language means taking into consideration factors such as the role of the student, their learning styles, the importance of the technological resource is selected, its support to learning, the teacher's role and its approach to teaching.

New technologies not only constitute a set of tools at the service of the activities of teaching and learning, but rather, an environment, a space, a cyberspace, in which human interactions occur (Callister & Burbules, 2006). It is as well as the process of teaching and learning a foreign language has experienced an extraordinary development in recent times, especially by the great advantage of interactivity offered by technological means.

Blogs provide a multitude of benefits in education; such as Richardson (2006), Foster critical and analytical thinking, as well as analogical thought. In addition, offer access to a variety of information and of quality, and promote social interaction. In the same line of thought, a Jordanian (2004) argues that blogs are useful in the teaching and learning of the language, given that can be used with students of different Levels Intermediate and above, and are motivating for students of advanced levels; enhance critical thinking in the L2 and allow the student to even get to express your feelings in a language other than their own.

2. Which ones are the alternatives in ELT methodology?

According to Harmer (2001), computer programs for the teaching of language offer the student the opportunity to study conversations and texts, exercises of grammar and vocabulary, and, even more, to listen to the texts and record their voices. Therefore, it is undeniable its usefulness and the degree of motivation that they represent for the student.

For its part, Callister And Barbules (2006, p. 29) added that the systems of language teaching and learning, based on technological means, with the independence of the interactivity, in general offer:

a) a variety of information channels and instructive: oral language, written language, language and illustrations and iconic animated situations (film techniques, drawings and caricatures).

b) Ease of consultation, both of interactive dictionaries as contexts of communication..

C) diversity of techniques and methods.

d) compatibility and complementarity with the conventional teaching in class with a teacher.

e) freedom of schedules and, at the same time, reliance on computer systems.

f) Personal Choice (individualized education program).

g) possibilities of effectively addressing the diversity.

3. What are the students’ perceptions of integrating Wiki technology and peer feedback into English writing courses?

The wikis, which are edited collectively including texts, links, photos, information, have become an increasingly significant value in the current education system at all levels, as they favor the collaborative learning and interaction, promoting the negotiation and feedback between users (Cabezas , 2008). In a study carried out by Lund (2008), in which I wanted to investigate the impact of wikis in the classroom of a foreign language, it was concluded that the work done showed the zone of proximal development (ZPD)2 , because the students participated collectively in the development of the tasks and, therefore, on the collective construction of knowledge.

In working with wikis, the student receives information, it internalizes the concept or aspect of the language, receive feedback on the part of the major professor or classmates, which becomes in turn input and then exteriorized that knowledge, which is converted into output.

4. How can we integrate critical Approach to Second Language Learning?

We start from what raises Deprez (1994) in the sense that bilingualism from the preschool level facilitates the learning of other languages, at the same time that develops the capacity of abstraction, the interaction between the linguistic and cultural skills, listening, adaptation, creativity, and the criterion. The set of all these metalinguistics capabilities that are developed in each grade, favors the learning processes of other educational disciplines, prepares the student to conceptualize the two linguistic systems and contributes to the development of the tongue.

The teaching of languages, mainly English, allows us to see that when combined the theoretical currents, psychological, philosophical and pedagogical, technological advances and the four communicative skills, in an interactive environment, dynamic, participatory process, will help you to internalize their learning and subsequently to the use of the acquired information.

Principio del formulario

It is essential that teachers are willing to enable us, catch up and question our teaching practice in order for it to interact with students through learning strategies attractive and interactive; and that these strategies will lead to a real and effective process of learning the English language.

Final del formulario

We are aware of the importance of equipping the classrooms of public schools and individuals for the management of audiovisual materials, resources in the process of learning a language, as the new generations are, by definition, visual and hearing impairments.

The teaching of a second language, which starts from the third grade of preschool, constitutes a real and complex challenge, since neither the literacy of the tongue, or learning a language is not native, are spontaneous processes, that is to say, its acquisition requires a pedagogical intervention.

In this sense we identify an educational continuum, which must go hand in hand until the end of the secondary, in that a sequence and progression between the different levels and forms of education that are offered, so as to provide continuity to the development of the principles, values and processes that we want to promote. This integration has to make possible - and require - a mutual collaboration and support among the various sub-sectors of education

Good night classsmates I send my audio
