It took place between the years 1934 and 1939. Stalin took his great terror by executing or imprisoning thousands of people to prove that they can not mess with him at all.

Observation 3- . Stalin is looking at the baby with such delicacy such as if it's own child.
I believe that the propaganda poster is relating to the fact that Stalin is trying to make Russia he owns, as if it's his own child. This shows absolute monarchy.

He wanted to gain more power by gaining more food to feed the workers in industry. He also needed a surplus of food to sell overseas to bring money into the country but also for him. The reason he has started this is to mostly gain money and to he wanted an excuse to destroy the kulaks, who believed in private ownership, not communism.
