This quote reminded me that throughout my life the things that I try to avoid don’t come in a fictional form but in an ever day one. Sometimes I catch myself or see someone else acting out of fear or greed. These ‘sins’ come and go but it is important to recognize them in their true form so that we can try and overcome them in a realistic way. This quote speaks to my social location because I catch myself not paying attention to the important things in my life. I need to take time and reflect on my values and priorities. Racheal Evans desribes that when she really saw the church and took in what it had to offer she appreciated it so much more. This speaks to my social location because my life is surrounded by so much and I am always trying to find a sanctuary. Throughout my life I have found temporary sanctuaries but I feel like I haven't found a permanent one.
