Many things have gone downhill personally but I'm slowly getting back up. I think this semester threw me off by starting online for 2 weeks because it brought me back to high school with e-learning. I'm on the dance team so being with those girls have been the highlight of my first year. Even when the season ended, we all kept in touch and hung out. I'm looking forward to just going home and taking a break. I also get to see my best friend too which I'm super excited about. To be honest I listened to everything and anything. Yes, I participated in the ISU Competitive Dance Team. There has been a lot on my plate but thankfully everything has been manageable for the most part. Once this semester is over and summer is finally here, the thing I am looking forward to the most is the beach. However, before then, I have to complete finals which are going to be a the biggest challenge of the semester. During the year, I participated in playing the sport of rugby. This was one of the highlights of the year especially being part of a team with my brother. I was able to keep up with all my classes and have fun on the weekends. It was a bit challenging getting back into school after taking time off but luckily it didn't take long for me to adjust back in to school and student life. Some things that have been fun would have to be starting my job at ISU and getting to know the guys I work with. Another highlight would  be my trip to Texas in March where I went to a couple March Madness tournament games. Also when I went to the St. Louis Cardinals opening day game. This summer I'm mostly looking forward to having nice weather again, I'm not a huge cold weather fan so I can't wait for that. Before then I have to complete 3 finals, finish my English project, and give a presentation. My favorite song this semester would have to be Dinosaur by Hank Williams Jr. It feels good getting my first semester out of the way, and with the credits I've acquired I'll be a sophomore and not have to worry about catching up. I struggled a-lot early in the semester but I was still trying to stay afloat. I've had fun just messing around with my friends and meeting new people. This summer I'm planning on working as much as I can and saving up for next year, I also might pick up a second job just to make sure I have enough for the oncoming semester. The first two weeks of online really made it hard for me to stay on top of my classes. What has been a challenge is my self discipline to complete all of my assignments when I have the time, I found myself procrastinating a lot this semester. I am looking forward to working at my summer camp this summer and warm weather! Before summer I have to make sure to study hard and pass all of my finals. My first year of college has been great. I've been able to learn more about the campus and the resources that are offered. I am more comfortable with how classes are set up and making sure I'm doing all I can to succeed. I've had some difficulties getting along with others but that has shown not to feed into other negativity. Also, have felt that I was able to learn more about myself and what things are good for my physical and mental health. I was able to have multiple of my friends come visit me this semester, which is awesome for them to see the college side of me. I'm so excited for the summer. I got a job on campus called Preview, that I get to help the incoming freshman feel as welcomed as I did coming here. I also get the chance to have my first "adult" family vacation. This will be the first time my brother (23) and I will be on a cruise with our parents and get to enjoy making new memories as we both are getting older and our lives are becoming more real. Didn't really care for the two weeks of online school. Felt like I didn't do anything productive during that time frame. I struggled a lot this semester mentally. I had a lot of things to do with not a lot of time. Trying to balance work and school was mentally draining. It was difficult and more work compared to first semester. I really excited about summer because it is my favorite time of the year. I love the warm weather and going to the pool. My friends and I are going to Summer Smash in Chicago in mid- June so that is very exciting. I honestly do not have a lot to do before then, I have a couple of assignments but that is really it. I was lucky that I only have one real final and that was Biology, but I already took that. My favorite memory from this year is hanging out with my friends. We are an interesting group of people.
