The neighbourhoods involved are: Fontsanta, Fatjó, Centre, Riera and Almeda
Our high school has a 30-year experience as a teaching centre for secondary education and batxillerat. The average experience of the teachers is about 25 years with a total dedication to the teaching, research and assistance of our students.
 The most important goal of Joan Miro secondary school is to achieve the highest quality in teaching. For this reason the education community believes in a world where multilingualism offers academic and professional possibilities and is a source of reciprocal enrichment and understanding, while fostering cooperation in Europe and overcoming prejudices and discrimination.

Participating in this program is not easy: it supposes many hours of work, of meetings, of ideas that in the end cannot be carried out as we would like because, let's be realistic, the resources are what they are. But despite the effort it requires, both for the teachers and for our students, the truth is that when we have put into practice the activities of tasks 1 and 2 we have observed and perceived a good response from the students. We have also learned that we must improve the timing of the activities, since in some cases we did not have enough time to finish them; We also need to check the technological part, although most of the time this question does not depend so much on us. 

We would like to add that it has been a real luxury to be able to do co-teaching during these lessons. To be able to coordinate beforehand is sometimes challenging because you don't always find the time but once in the classroom it makes it much easier, especially with large groups of students and last but not least it is more fun!

Watching the videos afterwards also made us realize  the importance of language support. Students' interactions need to be carefully scaffolded if you expect them to happen in English.

In conclusion, we believe that this methodology is worth trying,  without a doubt. It can assist and motivate all types of students. 

So let's keep doing more GEP!
