Silas is a male who prefers to operate by routine. He strongly dislikes surprises and is irked in changes in schedule. Despite coming off rather inflexible, he is quite adaptable; albeit apprehensive about the changes he's becoming attuned with. He's detail oriented and meticulous, noticing even the smallest differences in an environment or in a person's expression. It was what drew him towards a Criminal Justice career in the first place. He keeps his thoughts to himself and doesn't often feel compelled enough to share them with anyone else.

towards others. He's a friendly individual, not particularly struggling with socialization but instead usually opting against it. Kindness shouldn't be mistaken for trust, however, as he does operate with a certain level of paranoia on a daily basis. Silas is the type to give someone the shirt off his back without hesitating (but on the flip side, don't touch his tea or else he will be quick to snap). In more recent days is a bit more extroverted, but not by a large margin, in order to avoid becoming a recluse due to his fears of hurting others.

Distrusting, workaholic, changes moods quickly, easily startled, prone to stretching himself thin for the sake of others with no regard for his own health, habitually internalizes his problems until it becomes too overwhelming and forces him to have a mental breakdown, and, when the situation allows for it, reckless. He gets caught up in what he's doing and often makes changes or decisions without consulting the others with a stake in the project.

raziel. When Raziel fully inhabits the vessel, Silas gains a certain air of superiority to the way he operates. His words become, in some respects, flowery and prose filled, comparable to novels and texts of old in its level of imagery. Less prone to honesty, Silas tends to be less forthcoming about what he knows or how he is feeling, and will gravitate towards roundabout manners of explaining himself on mere principal. As a George Washington University graduate, Silas utilizes technology and other scientifically proven (and, on occasion, more experimental) means to gather data and evidence with high proficiency. It requires a certain meticulousness that has translated into the man's day-to-day life. Difficult processes or sequences are easy for Silas to adapt to and his proficiency in doing so means that tedious tasks or even more morally-questionable tasks (hacking, for instance) can be performed with a certain margin of potential success going into the task. Language acquisition has always come easy to the man, who speaks English, French, Spanish, and some German with near-fluency. He also knows Latin, mostly from schooling and living with a Catholic father. He possesses an eidetic memory and utilizes it regularly. Mostly to remember locations, phone numbers, and the passcodes he uses at home and at work.

with raziel. With Raziel in his body, due to the blood spell his mother cast on him when he as a child (unbeknownst to Silas), he still maintains his personality and a high level of autonomy with the archangel in his body - unless he is under some form of mental duress or some form of weakness like illness, which, in that case Raziel would proceed with near-complete control over the vessel's body. With the archangel inhabiting his mortal shell, Silas possesses a variety of abilities that come with an archangel's physiology - predominantly the manipulations of holy fire and literature, the acquisition of knowledge,  and divination. Other abilities become available through necessity and aren't available to him otherwise.

weaknesses. The improper bond between vessel and archangel means that these 'talents' are somewhat weakened unless Silas willingly relinquishes control of his body - risky, because it means Raziel can possess his form for as long as he wishes unless someone is able to activate the magic of the spell to bring Silas back. Additionally, Silas is still a human, and in keeping Raziel at bay, is left in a near constant state of minor fatigue. He's gotten very good at hiding it, but eventually will pass out and awaken a day or two later to recuperate his energy. This 'recharge' is never willing or deliberate, and is at this point highly inconvenient and inevitable.  Additionally, Silas, who lived an ordinary life, still has to act to help Raziel in his goals on Earth mostly out of a sense of moral duty. As someone who has never faced great trauma in their life, these situations frequently leave scars on Silas' psyche. A young sorcerer he met on the street and felt the compulsion to rescue. He now aggravates but amuses the 'hell' out of the vessel. He lives with Silas now, residing in what was once the guest bedroom of his apartment, and is the object of Silas' most recent stresses (mostly because he refuses to wear a jacket in negative degree weather).
