This painting was drawn by Antoine -Sebastien Falardeau, a master artist, in the year 1856 near Rome. Antoine was very well known as copyist, which was very common in the 19th century. He excelled in seascapes, landscapes, and portraits of men and women. I really like the painting because of the detail in it. For example, by observing the painting one can infer that the time the event is set is about sunset. The season seems to be fall because of the color of the leaves on the very detailed trees. I also admire the background, one can see the land changing in height and there seems to be a big mountain with a building in front of it.

Chris Cran is the artist that drew this self-portrait, in 1985. It is an oil on canvas. The whole idea of the painting is to show a man watching another man use a gun to shoot himself in the foot. There are two men in a room that seems to be full of nothing but them, and the surface that the first man with the gun is sleeping on. The first man is holding a gun aiming at his to shoot his own foot. I like the painting because of the fact that this was actually photographed and then imitated by Cran. If I didn't know this was a painting, I would've sworn it was a photograph. That it is why I adore this painting.

This part of the virtual museum speaks out about butterflies. After having a good look at many butterflies, I was really fascinated by this specific butterfly, Silvery Blue (Grote) (Glaucopsyche lygdamus couperi). The male counterpart can be easily identified by the blue of its wings that is literally spread everywhere. Meanwhile, the female only has blue on the center of its wings only.
