They are free to be as creative as this wish with no direction or theme given from the teacher. I do however give strict instructions on filming. Students are only allowed to film in English class or in their own free time and are given specific areas to work in and check in times during English class.
As it is usually a group project it can be hard to grade individual students so I usually get them to write a reflection on their experience.
