         <description><![CDATA[<div>Benito Mussolini came to power by promising the people of Italy a better economy, drove fear of Communism into the citizens of Italy, and gained the supporters of the Black shirts. Soon enough Mussolini and his followers came to the door of the government's leader in Rome and demanded that Mussolini become there new leader.  The old leader stepped down without a fight and Mussolini became the leader of Italy.<br><br>                                         -Steven Nguyen</div>]]></description>

He also wanted people to appeal to national pride and have loyalty to the government.
