*Matt's dad left to go get his mother and sister (and the new baby).

When Ben first came to the cabin he was being nice to Matt to mislead him. Then he waited until Matt was asleep to take the gun and run.Now the cause is that Matt doesn't have a gun which leads to him not having meat to eat but fish.

Matt realizes that Robinsin Crusoe had lived like a king on the island.

Ben stole his rifle so Matt could only eat fish and now has no protection if someone can't to act him or protection from a bear.

AHA! Moment

Matt realized if he could reach the water he could escape the bees but that meant the Indians had to save Matt.

Matt was really lonely and just then he saw a shadow. He thought it was his dad but the subject with a blue coat. He walked up and asked Matt if his dad was there but matt said no because he was afraid that the guy would take all of his stuff.

Matt thought that Ben must be a criminal and taken his dad's rifle. Plus he would have to eat fish for a month.

Aha Moment

Matt figured out that the Indians were nice to help him and give him medicine and help him with his wounds.

Tough Question

Matt questions himself on how he is going to be able to teach an indian to read. again and again. attean kept walking out of the room. he did this because he was mad or frustrated with the things he was doing or seeing. aha moment. matt realizes that attean is actually interested in the book bacause he asked if white man get out of water. this is good for matt because he now knows hes not readingto himself and knows attean is listening.

when he gave Saknis the book Saknis couldn't read it. so Saknis said Attean give meat to Matt for reading leasons.
