When I was about 3 years old I was at Market Street getting candy. I couldn't reach the candy I wanted, and my parents were getting their candy, so I stood up. Suddenly the cart moved and I fell backward. My head hit the ground and I blacked out for a second. The next thing I remembered was waking up crying with people surrounding me asking if I was okay. My parents rushed me to the hospital and I had to get an x-ray. I was scared, but now I have a story to tell.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because it shows that if I was sitting down, and never fell out, I wouldn't have a story to tell about fracturing my skull.

When I was younger, I used to live in a house by the park. We would go a lot after school. I remember this one time when we went where I was really tired so I wanted to climb up on the tower where it was quiet. To get up there, there were three ways: stairs, which I didn't want to climb up because there were too many, a rock wall with tiny rocks that didn't fit my feet, and a tall green plastic arch thing that you could climb up. I was going up and slipped. It was a thick arch, but not too thick to where if your foot slipped you wouldn´t fall. When I fell, I landed on my back so it knocked the air out of me. I didn´t pass out, but I couldn´t breathe. When I could finally breathe again, we went home and I never really went on that thing again.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because it shows that if I never climbed on that, I would never know what its like to have the air knocked out of me.

My brother used to play baseball, and I didn't really understand how it all worked, so I would play with the other players little sisters. We were doing cartwheels and flips. The whole park that they they played baseball in was made of bricks and even the lightest scrape on it would cut you. It was my turn to do a backroll and I guess we were a little too close to the wall that I rolled back onto the brick wall. My head hit the bricks and it cut it. My head started gushing blood, and everybody had to rush to get me ice and paper towels.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because I still have the scar to this day.
