Three functions of the muscular system are pumping blood, breathing, and protection eternal organs. You have 600 in your body. The 3 types of muscles are cardiac, skeletal, and smooth. An example of a cardiac muscle is your heart. A example of a skeletal muscle is your bicep. A example of a smooth muscle is your esophagus. Voluntary muscles are muscles you can control. Involuntary muscles are muscles you can't control. Two things I learned are when the glycogen breaks down lactic acid forms and you feel fatigue. Also you cannot keep you arm completely steady because your muscles are always changing. Lactic acid was building up while I was performing the muscle fatigue activities.
