Autism derives from the greek word autos, referring to self. Individuals with Autism often have deficits in social communication, social interaction, restricted and repetitive patterns of behaviors, interests and/or activities.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Skill deficits often displayed in students with Autism, but not subjected to, are social development, language development, and restricted interests.&nbsp;<br><br></div><ol><li>Social Development may refer to, but is not subjected to:</li></ol><ul><li>Sensitive to change/routine e.g. going to the postoffice before going home like usual</li><li>Unresponsive to name&nbsp;</li><li>Lack eye contact</li><li>Lack sharing skills e.g. doesn't tolerate sharing toys/tangibles with peers</li></ul><div><br></div><div>2. &nbsp; Language Development may refer to, but is not subjected to:</div><ul><li>Lack expression of feelings</li><li>Lack language to express wants and needs&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br></div><div>3. &nbsp; Restricted interests may refer to, but is not subjected to:</div><ul><li>Echolalia e.g. repeat statements&nbsp;</li><li>Stimming and/or stereotypy&nbsp;</li><li>Perseverate on certain topics e.g. obsession with appliances, ABC's, numbers, etc.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
