To foresee and provide means examining the future and drawing up the plan of action. To organize means building up the dual structure, material and human, of the undertaking. To command means maintaining activity among the personnel. To coordinate means binding together, unifying, and harmonizing all activity and effort. To control means seeing that everything occurs in conformity with established rule and expressed command.”

Today, the key functions of management are considered to be: Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Controlling.

Employee Evaluations is something that resonated with me because I like to have bi weekly to month check ins with my manager to make sure I'm exercising every opportunity possible. My manager is patient enough to have agreed to my biweekly-monthly meetings which overall makes feel good about my progress even if the progress is slow. This short term evaluation leads to a highly productive report when it is time for my yearly evaluation.

A global organization is any organization that competes outside its native country. When companies decide to expand internationally, they have to be aware of cultural differences. There have been many examples of advertising that included images or phrases that were culturally offensive.Managers must also consider different communication practices. In some countries, direct feedback is considered impolite, and managers must be able to read subtle body language to determine if the receiver has understood and accepted the message.
