As mentioned with the child currently at my setting. Learning about Echolalia has really helped and I'm interested to go away and start to use commentary rather than questions to see if that helps. I will also feedback to his parents.

I now have a child in mind for using what we have discussed already, thinking about her repetition etc, I can cascade this to the other staff memebers with something else to try . The interest box with one or two peers is definitely something we can use with her

I had never heard of the bucket time so will look into this. I think we use something similar with the interest box.

We do use a number of the things that you have mentioned, ask which colour cup or plate at snack, or milk or water, which fruit out of a selection. We also use visual pictures or timetables for some children depending on their needs. Nice to hear different ideas. I do have mixed feelings on the boxes, as I can feel mean if they cant touch something they really like especially if the child shows frustration.

Like this idea to share with staff . May encourage more quality observations across nursery. Nice way to remind staff who have worked in childcare a while but also for new staff nice way to teach.

I feel like teacch tasks and play scripts are something I am going to start using with children.

I really like the scripts and the last slide - teacc I think it was. Loads of ideas to work with
