I haven't applied very advanced technologies like robotics as it isn't something I am aiming for in this project. Considering this is on a campus a lot of the customers will be students and teachers. The goal is to create all packaging out of recycled paper. Students and teachers will be encouraged to recycle their paper into special bins around campus. This paper will then be repurposed into menus for limited use before being recycled again. This ensures to decrease the risk of germs and also create opportunities for potential workshops on how to make your own paper. Depending on how much paper is recycled the cafes cups, paper bags and boxes could be made out of the paper as well.

Not only that, they also pride themselves on supporting local businesses and artisans by selling pottery, artworks etc in store. What makes this cafe unique is how focused they are towards the community and our health and wellbeing. All their produce is purchased through loop growers, food connect or from markets they also grow their own produce to use. Any kitchen waste will then return to the loop farm for composting and for produce that is imperfect will be used in pickles, smoothies and ferments. I found that I needed to push myself out of my regular design boundaries trying to come up with unique creative ideas that would suit the university all whilst taking into account implementing covid 19 rules and regulations. When first viewing the floorplans, I found in quite difficult to understand the plans without getting any visual references however, after my site visit it had obviously made each space of the university clearer. In terms of the assignments receiving feedback on the poster then having to go back and remodel different aspects of my redesign and resubmit it I felt was a very good way of introducing the idea of having to do this in the future with clients changing their minds or wanting something different. Early on I decided that I wanted to keep a similar structure to the previous layout whilst only moving some exterior walls and majority of the internal walls, this way it can cut down on costs and construction time. Overall, I wanted my redesign to be vibrant, inclusive and comfortable. The interiors feature more modern elements for instance, the colours and materials chosen throughout whereas the exterior forecourt adds a more colourful side to the university with unique glass roof covered areas, sunken seating areas and display cabinets for students work.
