Being An Outsider

What does it mean to be an “outsider”? I think that this can mean a lot of different things. The first thing that comes to my mind is being lonely. Being on the “outside” of a group of people can not only be lonely, but also sometimes sad. If you feel like an outsider because of assumptions or judgements that others have made it can be hurtful. Being judged is not fun, especially when you start to believe those judgements.

On the other hand though being an outsider can be a positive. For example, if the group of people who are making you feel outside the group are not nice people, why would you want to be a part of that group. Depending on what time of your life you are in and your own self value makes a difference in how it feels to an outsider.

He wasn't feeling too good. After about a year of chemo he is feeling better but he still isn't the best possible. Sadly about a month or so ago he fell in lows and broke his humerus and laid there ,in lows ,in a lot of pain. Now he is in a sling and in even more pain. That is the moments that changed my life.

Reasons people might join a gang is because they want to be cool. Also it could be because they feel no one likes them or loves them. They might not have a lot of people left in their family or their family left them. So they could join the gang because the gang feels like family to them. They could also do it because someone else that is in the gang could force them by saying if they don’t they will kill them. They might need money so they join the gang for money. Finally they could do it because they want to harm people.

And it was more than just one person it was everyone there. And I didn’t have a phone or a screen to hide behind, so I had my mom drive me to school everyday since 3rd grade because they would be so mean.

Now I feel like they don’t do it as much but some of them still judge me, even when they have nothing to do with what I’m doing. I don’t wear the hollister outfits or other designer brands i just sit and do my work trying not to be noticed, other than my friends. I now care less and less about what others think but being a teenager you can't really help it. You judge others and they judge you.

Why people join gangs? There are Mainly five Reasons, Identity or Recognition, Protection, Fellowship and Brotherhood, Intimidation, Criminal Activity. For Identity or Recognition the reason for that is Being part of a gang allows the gang member to achieve a level of status he/she feels impossible outside the gang culture. Also for Protection, many members join because they live in the gang area and are, therefore, subject to violence by rival gangs. Joining guarantees support in case of attack and retaliation for transgressions. Another reason is Fellowship and Brotherhood what that means is the majority of gang members, the gang functions as an extension of the family and may provide companionship lacking in the gang member’s home environment. Many older brothers and relatives belong, or have belonged to the gang. They Also want Intimidation that for Some members are forced to join if their membership will contribute to the gang’s criminal activity. Some join to intimidate others in the community not involved in gang activity. Finally Criminal Activity That is Some join a gang to engage in narcotics activity and benefit from the group’s profits and protection. That’s my reason for people joining gangs.

If you don't heart me i will take away your fortnite account

A time when my life had changed unexpectedly and permanently is when my parents got divorced. Yes, I know that this had happened a really long time ago but, it takes a really long time to get over it. Even Though it happened when I was about two it still hurts to think that you can’t see your parents happy together anymore. Also in this situation not only is it upsetting or devastating it’s really hard to deal with, such as finding the times to see both of them but still having to work around both of their schedules. But that is one thing that really changed my life unexpectedly and permanently forever.

The event that permanently changed my life. This event was three years ago. At 6 in the morning my mom received a call from my dad. He was informing her how he had gotten into a horrible accident. I remember hearing the panic in everyone's voice as we rushed to the t.v turning on the news. Nothing had come up so we went to the hospital as quick as we could. Now my mom is not good with directions so for a 15 minute drive to the hospital we ended up driving almost an hour and in Chicago. So we turned around and headed the right way. When we had finally reached the hospital we went straight to the front desk. Without having to wait we were directed to his room. I remember waking him up and holding his hand then taking him home with us. To this day we are still being affected with constant court cases and lawyers. By now coming out to an end the outcome will truly affect me and my family the most.

Social media makes different people feel different ways. Some people get bullied on social media and some people feel more connected in social media. With social media it is easier to talk to other people like if they are out of state. It makes communication easier. So it can make people feel more connected. But, it can also make people feel alienated from each other because if you send a picture with you hanging out with another person your friend will get mad at you. Social media causes a lot of drama especially for girls. If your friend doesn’t like the person you are talking to they will get mad at you. So social media affects people in different ways depending on what type of person you are or how you react to what other people are saying or doing with or without you.

Why Someone might join a gang Someone might join a gang because of the protection and loyalty. Also If someone Is going through a hard time they might join a gang for the love and to feel like they have a family. Also for the fellowship and Brotherhood. Another thing would be too because people have just had it and they want the violence and the trouble. Also joining a gang can be a good and bad thing because you can end up shot. Also you can have success In a gang and be with family and enjoy the trouble.

My life has changed unexpectedly and permanently mostly by my best friend dieing a few months ago. Every other week we would go to stake and shake and just laugh for hours and hours until they kicked us out for being too loud or told us to leave because they were closing. We would have the best time together and he would always make me happy and if i was ever sad he could change that instantly. And about four months ago he died in a car accident, he was in a car with one of his friends and then they picked up some other guys that he didn't know about. Then they switched drivers and my friend was stuck in the back seat and nobody would let him out of the car, they later found out that those other guys who got in the car after him were all on acid (a really strong drug) and they crashed the car because they didn't want him to tell anybody about them being on 🤬. And ever since he died i haven’t gone to stake and shake and definitely haven't laughed as hard as i have with him. That is how my life changed unexpectedly and permanently.

I think the reason people might join a gang is because of their environment. When someone is growing up their family might be associated with a gang and they might feel it’s wrong to not be in that gang like their family members. Another reason people might join a gang is because of their friends. If your friends are in a gang you might want to join so they think more of you and you might feel protected by the other gang members. Being in a gang is very dangerous because other gangs might not like your gang and people can get hurt and it's just not worth it.

My life has changed a lot with in time. But most of the events had happened because of one event. A summary of how it all happened was that when I was a baby I got really sick and my dad wouldn't take me nor my mom to a hospital, and we had to call my grandma, who lives in frankfurt and I lived in new lenox. But after this my dad just left, like he got his bags and moved in with the naber. And this changed my life a lot because when he moved in with my naber he had another child, and then he got kicked out and we were in and out of everywhere.

But this event changed my life permanently cuz I never stayed in one place, I never grew up in one area, I never had two happy parents. When my dad finally found where he wanted to stay, he did bad things, he was never a good dad, and he lost privling to see one if his daughters, and he had another daughter. I don't know what made him think it was okay but he thought it would be okay to hit and attack me at random times. But also I found a way to get out of going over there but with everything that I have gone threw had a bigger effect on me then anyone can see, a few days ago I was told i have ptsd. If you don't know what ptsd it's short for post-traumatic stress disorder.

So basically what I am getting at is the divorce of my parents changed my life, a lot.

Discuss the reasons someone might join a gang?

A person might join a gang because the group would support them with food, water, shelter, etc. They would also join for recognition, intimidation, protection, brotherhood, and excitement. Excitement may include doing crime, such as theft, drug trafficking, murder, 🤬, and many more. Family members could force their relatives to join. In my opinion, I believe that gang members are looking in the wrong place, but if that’s their only option, then they should take it. I mainly disagree with the crimes, but with a sense of naivetè, it’s like an atomic family and those people feel safer than ever.

Gang Gang

I think people join gangs because of the environment they grew up in, they could have grown up in a neighborhood that has gangs and they may feel that’s what they’re supposed to do. Or maybe some people are just born into a gang and can’t get out. Another reason someone may join a gang is to feel protected but then it’s impossible for them to leave the gang. Maybe someone's family member is in a gang and they want to make that person proud or maybe that person doesn’t see them as family if they don’t join the gang. I think that most people in gangs are glad they’re in the gang, but some others probably want to get out.

why someone would join a gang

I think the reasons someone would join a gang is because they are friends with them or even maybe because of the environment because it’s terrible and they want to make it worse. Maybe if your whole family has been associated with gangs you will have to or your family will think of you as not being part of the family. They might feel a sense of community and “family”, wanting to feel belong and are needed. They might feel excitement or they might believe it’s the best way to survive or gain respect from people. I think of joining a gang because you're looking for a sense of community, your looking in the wrong place. I think you should join a sports group or performance group are a healthy and safe way to gain the same sense of togetherness and competition.

My life changed when my great grandma passed away. We had so many traditions that we would do every year, now we might not do them because she passed away. My family is now fighting over who should get a little more money than the others. I may not see my family as much now because we would always go to her house for every holiday. But since no one lives there anymore they are not going to celebrate the holidays there but there is so many memories there. When they sell the house all we will have left is the memories.
