Brutus says "what dangers would you lead me, Cassius" (act 1, scene ii,63-65) showing that people around him even know he is trouble before he starts plotting Caesars death.
We see that Cassius is blood thirsty and apathetic about the blood he gets on his hand because when talking about the plot of Caesars death when he says "may well stretch so far as to annoy us all; which to prevent. Let Antony and Caesar fall together."(act 2, scene i, 159-161) This shows that Cassius doesn't care who they kill even if he has no problem with Antony.

Cassius's motivation for wanting to kill Caesar is because he doesn't like him as a person and he thinks Caesar is weak.We see this when Cassius mocking Caesar about his illness.Cassius says "tis true, this god did shake. His coward lips did from their color fly."(act 1, scene ii, 121-122) Cassius also talks about growing up with Caesar in Rome.
