One of Hiltons major innovations has been the use of mobile check-in and digital keys through its Hilton Honors app, streamlining the entire check-in process and eliminating friction. Mobile Check-In Guests can now bypass the traditional front desk experience by checking in directly through their mobile devices. However people booking with a travel professional has remained steady over the last couple of years with 35% of people having booked with a travel agent within the last year. </p>]]></description>

Hilton have introduced a new app which  makes it easy and able for when people books rooms that hey are able to see what they are booking and technology to see the 360 room layout of making it easier for customers. This appeals to business travellers because they are able to pick their times that they want to be there and also being able to pick the room. The customer would benefit from this because that means they haven't got a set time to be rushed to get there. Navigate is a platform used of TUI cruises. This lets the customer book photoshoots, excursions and book their tales at restaurants on the cruise. Navigate also shows customers their itinerary and the cruise timetable of what's happening that day ands where to go to take part.Our mobile phones has become our topic guide, travel agency, best restaurant locator, map and more. Its by our side during the entire purchase journey. In fact according to trip advisor 45% of users use their holidays. Hilton have introduced an app where customers can let Hilton know when they are arriving.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>prior to online check in people used to spend hours in a queue to check in at the airport. Thanks to technology it as cute down the queue as most airlines allow customers to check in up to 24 hours before their flight departs. If you don't have to check in  to the airport for 2 hors you are most likely to have more time to buy food or gifts or other things as airports want you to spend money, if you don't check in the you miss out on shopping or eating or spending your money on what you want. </p><p>Airport security.</p><p>Birmingham Airport have launched their new security hall, they have invested in new technology including scanning equipment to be able to process travellers quickly under the new regulations imposed by the UK government. You no longer have o take liquids or devices out of your bag while travelling due to technology  advancement. This also makes things quicker so you are able to spend your money in duty free.</p>]]></description>

Solo travellers make up around 18% of global bookings, solo travel is becoming more popular and has increased by 7% in the last year. 38% of those who have travelled solo will do this again. <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://Hotelscan.com">Hotelscan.com</a> noticed 170%increase in the last 18 months for those looking to book a room for themselves with popular destinations including Thailand, Peru, Sydney, Portugal and Vietnam. Even cruise operators have had to adjust their offerings to cater for a higher number of passengers travelling alone. Norwegian cruises adapted to this trend by launching studio rooms especially designed for single travellers.</p>]]></description>

However, the cruise industry has an excellent repeat market where more than half (53%) of the people who have taken a cruise in the last 12 months are planning on taking another one in the next year. </p><p>The report also found out the most popular cruise types, with the most popular being ocean cruises. Growing up with technology, millennials utilize digital platforms  for travel planning and booking. This has pushed the industry to enhance online services, mobile  app, social media marketing. Britain’s biggest holiday company is to close on third of its high street travel agencies.The company said it will close 166 of  its 156 high street stores in the UK and Ireland “as it adapts to change in customer behaviour”. The move by TUI will cost 900 jobs, but many may be saved by redeployment. A new home working sales and service team will be created. Customer behaviours have already changed in recent years, with 70 per cent of all Tui uk booking taking places  online. The 42% figure can in from  a poll of 2,000 people conducted by the post office in October. The compares with research a month earlier which found that 59% of those considering an overseas holiday said their plans were likely to be impacted by the volatility of sterling. Amongst these people, a quarter said they would pick a cheaper destination and a third would cut their spending budget. The total sample size was 2,081 Uk adults and 1,283 of those said they are considering a holiday abroad, of which 754 admitted their holiday plans were most likely to be affected by volatility of the pound.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 2022, British airways stopped using plastic items such as drinks stirrers, packaging, water bottles, and retail bags. They replaced them with environmentally friendly alternatives from bamboo, paper, and recycled plastic, This may be a s small change, but it has had a considerable impact and British airways aimed for these changed to result in 700 tons of single use plastic being eliminated form there flights annually.  </p><p>Emirates has also been combatting single use plastic waste since 2019. The airline began simply by replacing plastic straws with paper ones, then plastic bags for inflight purchases instead of plastic ones. The company introduced other sustainability initiatives, such as using blankets made from recycled plastic bottles and recycling plastic bottles sold on flights. They believe these changes could prevent over 80 million single use items from ending in landfills.</p>]]></description>

According the statista, 36.5% of travelers said they used social media to front travel inspiration or ideas. The residents is more prevalent among young travellers. About 60% of generation Z and 40% of millennials report they use social media for travel <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://purposes.In">purposes. In</a> the past, travelers would reply on travel agents, guidebooks and brochures to plan their <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://trips.Now">trips. Now</a> travellers are much more likely to use visual social media platforms like instagram and Facebook to find destination inspiration, research hotels, and plan activities. A customer might come across unique hotel on instagram and add it to a “bucket list” folder. By the time they are ready to plan a trip they might plan an entire vacation centered on staying at that one hotel. When travellers are ready to book, social media has also made it easier for them to do so. Now, customers can click on a tour operators website from instagram and book an excursion right then and there, without ever having to switch devices.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
