When the show is coming soon, I would have forgotten the exact synopsis by then but I donโ€™t refresh my memory, just to keep it like a little surprise for myself.


One time, I booked tickets to a SIFA film like 3 months before opening. When my friend and I attended, we were confused as to why the characters were all singing. Turns out we bought tickets to a Hungarian Opera and forgot all about it!

After the time I had to call an Uber in desperation when it was 10 minutes to show time at the then-DBS Arts Centre, and I was still wandering around Clarke Quay area, hopelessly lost, I decided I would always aim to arrive 30 minutes before the show to give my directionally challenged self plenty of buffer time... and I've never stopped doing it :p - adey
