We had to make an obituary on a object dying and add different puns about the object in it. I chose a pizza named Domino and made him die because people ate him. I originally chose cheese but I changed it to pizza because I had no puns.

What was the best thing I read this year?

The best thing I read this year was A Long Walk to Water. It was my favorite because I enjoyed reading about their everyday struggles during war and finding water. I loved the part where Salva and Nya met at the end of the book because Salva, who decide that he was going to help the people of southern Sudan by drilling wells for them, ended up drilling a well for Nya's village. I like how Linda Sue Park connected two lives through their everyday struggles for water.

My biggest success this year was the two voice poem presentation. The two voice poem presentation was my biggest success because I think I did pretty well on it. I got a pretty good grade on it and I was really happy so I felt like I accomplished something new.

Socratic seminars are classroom discussions in which everyone participates in talking about the assigned subject. We've had two so far. One socratic seminar was about Watson's go to Birmingham and bullying. The other one was about the main point in Christmas Carol. I didn't like the socratic seminar but I managed to speak once during the second one.
