Since a very young age school has shown us the burning bush as the symbol that represents the beliefs and hopes for us to be. However as a kid i never paid close attention to what it really meant to me, i just saw it as another symbol or even as a logo to our school. As i grew older and time passed by i learned to see farther to what is shown and create an opinion of my own . As a result nowadays i see the burning bush as a reflection of my spirit and eager to live life to the fullest, learning from others and also giving the best i can to others in need . I really hope that i never remain ignorant and keep learning everyday , a that that "cute symbol" never fades away.
Carolina Montero

The burning bush is a really imprtant symbol to me that has been present in my life since I started school. To me it simbolizes the importance of helping others whenever I can.
For me, the burning bush is a reminder of the women and leaders we aspire to become. Regardless of our future dreams, likes, or dislikes, this symbol will always advise us to become the best version of ourselves. Because of this, and many more reasons, the symbol of the burning bush is important to me. I do believe it can easily be forgotten as life passes, however, I’ll always try to be a better version of myself even if I‘m not thinking about it.

As life passes many of us unfortunately forget many memories or symbolisms that are important at some age but later loses importance. The burning bush is one of those exceptions that remain in our memories and heart for more than we think it will remain. Since we were little the school has show us the importance of it, but more than that I think that it trully become important in our lives after we discover the meaning of it . The burning bush means something different for everyone, in the moment you discover your meaning the burning bush becomes something unique to you.

The burning bush is a common word we´ve heard since we were little, but for me it has a lot of meanings. At first, it represents solidarity, which had taught me the importance of sharing and helping everyone who´s around me. Having the burning bush as a school symbol, makes me realice about my importance in the world, and how, with my abilities, I'm able to make this world a better one. Finally, but not least important, represents the light I have by expressing myself, and how with my actions, I can pass it to others, and expand the school's legacy; be empowered women leaders who inspire and bright the world.

It is important for me because it means leadership and solidarity. As the years have passed, I have become aware of what the Burning Bush really represents for me as a Pacha. Due to this symbol, the burning bush, the song was very meaningful to me because it made me think about how blessed I am. I realized that there are many people suffering and that we need to help them. Definitely, this symbol, inspires me to help those who need me, and to teach them to be optimistic despite unpleasant situations.

Paula: We all go through each day as if it was nothing. We are way too focused on our bubble and our daily lives that we forget that we are actually alive. Where did time go? We forget how time and energy have given us touch, senses, feelings. We all have them, if those downtrodden, those who even in the streets feel the wind in their face. We should take time to think and believe we are alive

I have always had some doubts about the meaning and importance of the burning bush to the school and the students. Since I was in first grade, I only thought it was the symbol or the badge of Pachas. However, throughout time, this “brown tree” isn’t only an icon that represents the mission and vision of the school. In ninth grade, I had the opportunity to understand how important and special the burning bush is for teachers, workers but specially for students. I finally understood that we, Pachas, have the task of being light for others. Most of us might believe that to proudly complete our task, we have to do great and big things, but in fact, we only need to be ourselves and share with others the values we have learned the last 14 years.

If I'm being honest, I must admit that when I was a child, I found the burning bush´s message a tad bit confusing and broad. This was mainly due to my understanding of said bush as this magnificent, extremely abstract thing that simply told me to “be good to others and change the world”. However, as I got older, I began to change my perspective on this, because I realized that the burning bush isn't much of a specifically religious and abstract concept. Instead, I started viewing the bush as the symbol of a simple philosophy, that being the one of “make the lives of those around you better with simple but meaningful deeds” which is, in my opinion, the best way to make this world a better place.

Since we were little, the school has instilled in us the symbol of the bush as the light of our lives and as the path, we must follow to go out into the world and project ourselves in the best way, for me this symbol is the main guide to grow as a person and a woman, in order to achieve this light towards others. The bush is not only a representation of a "Pacha" but it is also the reason why we serve others and that is why we always carry it in ourselves. The bush is a life commitment and is a personal project, which is nurtured with life experiences.
Mariana Melian

More than a symbol for spiritual realization or religious affiliation, the "burning bush" is a constant reminder that each one of us has the power to become what we want, regardless of our context. Just as the bush would never be supposed to keep on burning forever, it is only natural to face situations where you have to decide to do what is far from expected - even considered "normal". You can define your own normal, your own "light". It is now each one's decision wether that light shines on you or the others, or how bright it is - and 13 years at school have showed me exactly were mine is going to

Since we first started to study in this school, we have been told repeatedly about the burning bush and the importance it has. For 14 years this concept has been built both in our hearts and in our heads, understanding that flame that never consumes needs to be inside us forever, and we need to help those who haven't found it to do so.

For me it is a life path that guides me through the moments in my life, so I can learn to be better and improve my actions everyday, besides helping me to see the best in others and understand the situations that are shadowing their light.

It's sad to know how there's so many people who are "invisible," and how unfair our capitalist system is. I wish we were all more emphatic with every single being that surrounds us.The video made me feel ungrateful for everything I have taken for granted: my family, my home, food, access to quality education, internet, sanitation system, and so many things that seem basic but many people don't have access to. Also, it transmitted me a message to make a transformation. We can't just "stand and stare," we must act and do something, we must be the light of change, and apply the burning bush symbol in our lives.

We don't really have to wait until we become important politicians or entrepreneurs because every action, word or even smile counts. It's not a trivial symbol because as it never turns off, our commitment with ourselves and with the world shouldn't either.
