One of the best advantage of Spanish colonization in the Philippines was the introduction of education, many universities and schools opened during spanish colonization where Filipino back then learned to read and write in english. One very evident  effect of Spanish colonization is how many words were derived from spanish language. But those advantages will not outweigh the disadvantages brought by the spaniards, one of which is  the sufferings and maltreatment that they gave to our fellow filipinos, their rights were taken and were forced to submit to them and I believe they change many things in the Philippines and patterned it to theirs. sila din ang nagpalaganap ng Christianity here in the Philippines.

Spanish colonization in the Philippines allowed the establishment of numerous schools and universities which play a huge role in our lives right now. Filipinos were given the chance to be literate and educated about the real world outside the country. The economy of the Philippines during that time also peaked due to the galleon trade and other economic programs. But some of these programs like the polo y servicio has put the Filipino people in great despair. They were treated like slaves in their own country.
