For Curley’s wife they introduced her as the one person the boys shouldn’t be around or talk to. She wanted to get closer to the boys because they may have given her the attention that Curley lacked to give. Although she wanted the attention the boys avoided her, Curley may have not been the scariest guy by looks but his position at the ranch was fearful. The boys all wanted to keep their jobs, so they left Curley’s wife alone. But something happened with Lennie... he got involved with Curley´s wife even though George told him many times not to. Lennie got upset that Curleys wife was using him and that he wouldn´t be able to get rabbits like George said if he talked to her. Lennie proceded to yell at Curley´s wife because he wanted the rabbits and didn´t want to upset George, Lennie grabbed Curley´s wifes neck and held on to her. He didn´t know his own strength, Curley´s wife died. Lennie hid her dead lifeless body in the hay .

She was described as a beautiful women that had long hair and lushous lips. The boys knew they couldn´t get involved with anything to due with her because of Curley. She was a very flirting person which may now days be called a hoe, but she wanted attention. Curley didn´t give her any so she went to others for it. She was a women in the 30´s which made it super hard to get a job. You either got married to a man who could support you or if your parents could support you, you stayed with them. I believe the author is trying to tell us that women had a hard time following their dreams and working because they either had to get married or live with their parents. Curley´s wife wanted to become a model but so she could have a roof over her head she had to make the sacrifice of getting married.
