The message of this song is that he doesn't want a broken relationship hold him back in life, and that he won't let this hold him back, and wants to make things right. This is inspiring to me because I feel the same way about relationships with friends that aren't ended on a good note. I want to try to mend the holes in between some of my old relationships and try to make things right again. I have lost contact with some of my close friends from past years, and I wish that I could talk to them again. To me, keeping up with relationships with friends is very important.
