Qingdao Port is the world's most advanced automated container terminals equipped with state-of-the-art technologies.
A high degree of automation and high loading and offloading cargo efficiency.

The port has achieved the world fastest shipping, productivity of peaking at 52.76 containers per ship per hour, loading of efficiency that is at least 50% higher than any other automated ports.

The world's first intelligent overhead container delivery system, developed by a team of Qingdao Port engineers, is operated. That achieves full automation of loading and distributing cargos instead of manual control, making shipping much lower costs and higher safety for workers.

It uses hydrogen-powered crane technology which all equipments needed for operation are hydrogen energy-driven. Reaching entirely zero carbon emissions.

This firstly facilitated the transportation of iron ore, coal, crude oil, and grain... to export from and import to China, accelerating business transactions and industrial production drastically. Ultimately, boosting China's economy.

Besides, it produces zero carbon thanks to the technology invented. This not only contribute to alleviate the high carbon footprint in China and a step further to reaching the goal of "Zero Carbon Emission by 2050" ,
it also set an great example for other country to refer and adopt to as well as establishing a new high standard of modern transportation. Greatly ameliorate the living standards and convenience.

HK can learn by actively adopting their technologies in public facilities and work for promoting technological innovation.
Not Resigned to current status is also a crucial factor to striving for excellence. Those aforementioned engineers working there were not satisfied by controlling container-controlling equipment manually which is not safe and low efficiency. This attitude leads to those incredible creations.

Source: PR Newswire
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/qingdao-port-becomes-the-worlds-first-hydrogen-powered-and-5g-intelligent-port-301573875.html

Example 3-Photovoltaic industry

China is determined in using renewable energy to replace the use of fuel and has been investing in the photovoltaic industry since 2017, installing more photovoltaic capacity than the EU. With a whopping 392 GW, China is the largest producer of solar energy in the world. According to the 14th Five-Year Plan released by China in June 2022, it is targeted that 33% of electricity generated in 2025 will come from renewables. Apart from utilizing solar energy, the country is also the largest manufacturer of solar equipment.

The success of investing in photovoltaic energy is that it contributes heavily to conserving energy and making use of renewable energy, in order to reach the goal of the Paris agreement from the UN. Furthermore, it encourages other nations to follow suit with China’s action on the issue, and in turn, China would give off a better impression to other countries by showing how advanced the infrastructure is in China. Apart from that, since China is manufacturing solar equipment, China can earn income from foreign countries when they purchase the equipment. As using solar energy to replace traditional energy would soon become a trend, in the coming years, for the sake of the environment, this type of achievement would also be able to help the economic prosperity of China.

From this achievement of China, I believe both Hong Kong and the world should learn to start investing in the renewable energy industry. The traditional method of fuel energy would soon be used up and is producing too much carbon, contributing to global warming which is a serious problem that the world is facing. In my opinion, a lot of developed countries are not really bringing this situation to light and are always trying to avoid investing their money into renewable energy industries, believing that other matters are more important. All in all, more countries should give more attention to the renewable energy industry and learn from China. According to the website, WorldAtlas, Hong KOng is listed by the data world bank as a city with virtually 0% of the energy being sourced from alternative energy. Therefore, Hong Kong should definitely learn from China and started shifting to alternative energy.

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge started it’s construction in and was completed in 2018. It is a bridge that connects Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macau. The infrastructure is now regarded as the world’s longest immersed tube Chanel and the world’s longest bridge-tunnel highway across the sea. The bridge made it more convenient for Hong Kong citizens to enter Mainland China(Zhuhai) and has greatly reduce the travel time from 3 hours into 1 hour. Apart from that, the bridge made it convenient for HK industrialist to invest and open factories in the Greater Bay Area, helping Hong Kong’s development to prosper.

Hong Kong citizens benefited from the bridge as it made it quicker to go from Hong Kong into China. This is especially useful for Mainland China citizens that recently immigrated to Hong Kong, it would take them less time to travel back to their homeland to visit their family. As Hong Kong mostly depends on service for the economic development, building the bridge could definitely attract more Chinese tourist to visit Hong Kong and to spend their money in Hong Kong shops, bringing up the economy,in turn, rising up the living standard of Hong Kong citizens. Hence, benefitting the society.

Beijing Daxing International Airport is a large civil airport which officially began operations on September 26, 2019. The airport is constructed to meet the needs of passenger transportation in order to let more tourist to fly in and out on a daily basis. Daixing Airport ‘s terminal building is the world’s largest seismically isolated building which reflected China’s rising industrial and engineering capabilities in the past 10 years. Apart from this, the airport is built based on a green, eco-friendly principal. It effectively utilizes renewable energy which accounts for 12% of the total annual comprehensive energy consumption of the airport.

The construction of the airport contributes to the world as it sets an example for nations to consider the eco-friendly aspect when they build architecture and that it is possible to build majestic constructions by using renewable energy. In addition, the airport provides a variety of available flight paths and routes at a lower price which would attract tourists to visit China, revitalizing the economy and spreading the cultural knowledge of Chinese to foreigners. Apart from that, many other transportations is built inside the airport which connects the whole city, allowing visitors to multiple ways to travel in China. This benefits investors from around the world to invest in China as it would become easier for them to travel around China.

The Daxing international airport symbolizes a collaboration between different countries as there were Chinese designers, Hong Kong design studio and also French planners that participated in the project. I believe this teaches us that to strive for excellence, people have to come together and unite with each other, contributing their plans and opinions in order for an achievement to work out
