"It is everlasting wrath. It would be dreadful to suffer this fierceness and wrath of Almighty God one moment; but you must suffer it to all eternity. There will be no end to this exquisite horrible misery." (109)

This quote relates to the theme because as we talk about eternal punishment, Edwards mentions how there is no end to "this horrible misery." This is said in relation to God's punishment, hell which he says that you must suffer it to all eternity.

"O sinner! Consider the fearful danger you are in: It is a great furnace of wrath, a wide and bottomless pit, full of the fire of wrath, that you are held over in the hand of that God, whose wrath is provoked and incensed as much against you , as against many of the damned in hell." (109)

This quote relates to the theme of eternal punishment because Edwards tells us to stay aware of the "danger" we are in. By saying this, Edwards means that due to our sin and hatred, God has damned us to serve our punishment in hell. Edwards also states that God's wrath has been provoked and incensed as much against us, on account of our sin
