         <title>Shakespeare Changed My Life</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This reading connects with Shakespeare's play Hamlet as the author feels as if he can connect to the main character, Hamlet himself. At seventeen, the author felt as if his life was controlled by burdens and obligations. In the text he states,<strong> "There was a level on which the late adolescent in me responded to Hamlet, thrilled by the power of words he had to tell the world off.....flick or pierce or smash those who frustrated him because they controlled him."  </strong>The author felt the strength Hamlet had within his own world while reading the play. Revelations of reality were felt while reading this play in class as Shakespeare wrote within "reality of theatre". This was so that the audience can relate to the material as well as the characters.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Amleth&#39;s Revenge</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This story is the first version of Hamlet, created approximately four hundred years before Shakespeare. The plot is very similar with events like the death of the king, The protagonist acting mad to get justice, the killing of the eavesdropper (which in Hamlet is Polonius) and more. In the story the protagonist ends up achieving his revenge and does not die, as oppose to in Hamlet where Hamlet does end up dying. Shakespeare changes the ending so that he can have the tragic hero downfall formula embedded in the play and can call his play a tragic play.</div>]]></description>
