         <description><![CDATA[<div>In colder climate, the size of feathers on the crest enlarges as compared to in warmer regions. The size of the crest would be normally assoicated with mating purposes (assuming the birds in the diagrams are males). In colder climates, Drongos  are generally more sluggish and would be less willing to engage in vigorous activity. Thus, increased need for the crest to attract and encourage mates for reproduction. In the gene pool, alleles for different sizes of crest already present. Selection pressure is climate.
