The pharaoh is perceived as a descendant of the gods.

Osiris was a prominent god in Egyptian mythology; he was the god of the Nile and he judged the Ka of the deceased.

The shape of the pyramids is thought to represent the primordial mound which the Egyptians believed the earth was created.

Egyptians believed in mythological creatures like the Sphinx and phoenix. 

They also believed in oracles, a prominent one being Apis, the Bull of Memphis.

Egyptians believed in an afterlife.

They believed in a soul called the Ka.

Egyptians mummified their dead because they believed the body was necessary in order to successfully travel into the afterlife. 

Mummies were enclosed in a sarcophagus which were further enclosed in tombs.

The organs that were removed were organs that could cause the body to decompose faster. These organs were lungs, liver, stomach, and intestines. The jars had lids with the heads of a jackal, baboon, human, and falcon and were buried with the mummy for passage into the afterlife. Other organs, like the heart, remained in the body, and others, like the brain, were discarded entirely.

In order to do so, their hearts were weighed on the Scale of Truth in front of Osiris and his assistants. If their heart was heavier than the Feather of Truth, it was an indication that they were sinful, and they were given to Ammit, the Eater of Souls. If their heart was lighter, they gained passage into the afterlife. Ma'at was the goddess of truth and harmony in Egyptian mythology and was depicted as a woman with a white ostrich feather. In other cases, she simply was the white ostrich feather, which is the Feather of Truth.
