Only death and horror.<br><br>The hospital was extremely unsanitary.<br><br>The nursers had to do a whole lot of work.<br><br>Some nurses even though used to the smell had hard times sometimes.<br><br>The nurses did not fancy the nurse job anymore.<br> </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Doctors hadn't developed bacteriology and weren't thinking about causes of diseases.<br><br>Medical schools didn't own any stethoscopes or microscopes until after the war.<br><br>There were 10,000 surgeons in the Union and 4,000 in the Confederacy.<br><br>No sanitation was around so many people died from dysentery or typhoid.<br><br>For every soldier that died in battle, 2 died of disease.<br><br>The understaffed medical teams had little qualification.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
